This listing is for a Propane powered crucible furnace designed and created by an experienced engineer. This model will hold up to an. A20 Slamander sized crucible, we also make other furnaces to accommodate A6 and A10 crucibles.

Size Top outside diameter Height Brass capacity. Maximum temperature is around 1350C. Will melt copper brass cast iron, aluminium with ease. All our furnaces are made from upcycled gas cylinders, lined with both a refractory blanket and dense castable refractory lining, This construction is incredibly long lasting and is much more hard wearing than refractory blanket alone which is only rated at 200C and will quickly erode when subjected to a prolonged exposure to a hot flame.

THIS MODEL IS USUALLY MADE TO ORDER. Carriage for this model is normally via pallet, the cost of which seems to vary by postcode, although collection in person is also OK. Please note the furnace in the video is unpainted, yours will be sprayed in heatproof black paint and will not fleck or peel after firing.
