A large sized sculpture, and is in a rustic/ folk style, handmade in USA by the Monterey Bay Co. California, and is a well made piece. The metal sculpture is fixed to a piece of driftwood, the metal is antiqued/ rustic/ distressed to look weathered, and features a fishing village harbour, complete with a steam fishing boat and two smaller boats alongside a jetty.
With boarded walkways it goes uphill to a house, two stories high with a shingle roof and veranda and a lovely stovepipe chimney on it. Alongside it is a ramshackle shed. Surrounded with a telegraph pole and wires, and seagulls, and other interesting additions. It is all one piece, does not come apart, and is the colors of the metal is superb. Condition is good, I know there is a split in the wood at the rear but this was there at time of the manufacture.
Only one point of the metal work needs attention, one of the wires to the telegraph pole has come away where it was spot soldered, could be soldered back or glued, left for you to decide, it is not noticeable as it does rest where it was quite well and would be hard to spot.
