Gorgeous Art Deco styled metal Etruscan Horse sculpture based on the highly stylized horse sculptures of 20th century artist Boris Lovet-Lorski, made by Silvestri. This Etruscan Horse is made of brass with a shiny nickel-plated lacquered finish and mounted to a granite base. Its exaggerated form and rounded streamlined design give it a sophisticated Art Deco appearance, perfect for any retro Deco or Mid-Century Modern décor. The bottom has the original label "Silvestri - Artistry for the Home" with a description.

The entire piece on its base measures 9.5" tall by 7" long by 2.5 wide, and weighs almost 3 lbs. Boris Lovet-Lorski was born in Lithuania and became an American citizen in 1925 when he had his own one man show in Boston. His work greatly contributed to the Art Deco movement of the 1920's-30's, with his highly polished sculptures of nudes and stylized horses making him famous.
