A stunning volume on Art Nouveau metalwork with illustrations and a reproduction of a 1906 metalwork catalogue. Colour Plates, Illustrated, Publishers' Original Binding, With Dustwrapper. This book weighs 4 KG when packed.

This volume provides a fascinating insight into the type and style of domestic metalwork that was available at the height of the Art Nouveau period. The catalogue illustrates cake baskets, flower and fruit stands, cigar lamps and wine coolers amongst an extensive collection of other domestic metalwork. Published by The Antique Collectors Club this volume contains the English Catalogue from the Wurtemberg Electro Plate Company, or WMF, in 1906 with an introduction by Graham Dry detailing the history of WMF until 1914 and the artists designing the metalwork.

Richly illustrated throughout, with photographs and illustrations from the original 1906 catalogue. In the original unclipped dust wrapper. In the publisher's original cloth binding.

Internally, firmly bound with bright and clean pages. In the original unclipped dust wrapper which is lovely. Fine - Very well preserved copy showing very little wear. Only one or two minor faults, really a very attractive copy. Quite a wide term meaning no major faults but probably several smaller ones. Often expected given the age of the book, but still a respectable copy. Some more serious faults as will. Be described in the condition report under'condition.

Good Only - Meaning one or more faults that could really do with repair. As with good only above but with other faults. Leaving a compromised copy even after repair.

Really bad and possibly seriously incomplete. We only sell books in this condition where their rarity or value makes them. Major defects will be described. Please ask for details and conditions. Please note we cannot accept USD cheques.
