Mullins Architectural Sheet Metal Work and Statuary Trade Catalogue, 1896, 172 pp, soft cover wrappers, 14.5 x 9.75, oblong folio. Covers are heavily soiled, damp stained and rippled.

Small patch of loss at front cover. Typically abraded with light chipping to edges. Spine soiled and chipped at tail. ALS loosely laid-in to Mr. Bookplate of Maurice Robert Des Marais on front pastedown.

Des Marais was a longtime faculty member in the Department of Architecture at Penn State College of Arts and Architecture and a corporate member of the American Institute of Architects. Fly has doodle of a concrete design at center. Worming and loss to fly at edges. Dampness staining afflicts the first few leaves of the text. Finger soiling in the margins.

Overall, lightly toned with scattered age staining and light foxing. An interesting and ephemeral catalogue of decorative finials and sculptures from W. With laid-in letter from Mullins to a client. Perfect for conservators, social historians or historical restoration projects. Copiously illustrated in black and white photographs.

A rare find as these were often discarded by the buyers.
