2x72 BELT GRINDER CHASSIS for knife making. Created entirely on cnc machines, hand fitted & assembled. 1/4 thick Aluminum side plates secured with stainless-steel bolts.

1/2 thick Aluminum base plate. Industrial satin black powder coating on the side plates & base of this one. 1/2 solid aluminum D-backing plate with deep reach for slack belt grinding. The copycat offsets the D-plate form the tooling arm with ridiculous plastic spacers, think VIBRATION!

(The D-plate needs to flush up against the tooling arm). Why do they have to space their D-plate away from the tooling arm? Our Tracking hinge mechanism is STEEL on STEEL, heavy duty, unbreakable, lasts forever: our copycat competitor manufactures a bulky hinge out of ALUMINUM... Terrible idea, aluminum hinges wear out rapidly in harsh grinding environments.

His hinge is also so big that all the wheels have to be spaced way away from the chassis (see point above). Steel, formed L-bracket to hold platen. 1/4" thick steel platen, 2" wide & 8 long.

Our competitior taps the aluminum side plates for the clamping bolts which is TERRIBLE engineering that will never last, the hard clamping bolts will rapidly wear out the tapped holes, our clamping knobs go through steel bungs. Metal tracking knob & 1/2 STEEL tension arm.

CNC turned aluminum idler wheels, 2" diameter, 2-14" wide. CNC turned aluminum tracking wheel, 3" diameter, 2-1/4" wide (be weary of folk trying to pitch 4" diameter tracking wheels, they track WORSE than 3" & are much heavier so they soak up energy). Gas strut for belt tensioning, because it's 2017, not 1917, springs are terrible on belt grinders. Accepts a wide variety of motors (NOT INCLUDED) & drive wheels (NOT INCLUDED).
